Education

MSc Data Science (expected June 2026) — University of Colorado Boulder

A technologist with a love for smarter systems.

Mathematics, curiosity and a decade in the enterprise trenches — put to work as technology leadership that owns its decisions.

It started at 13, with competitive programming: solving hard problems under time pressure. That foundation — algorithmic thinking and mathematical reasoning — is still the cornerstone of how he leads engineering.

Over a decade he moved from competitive programmer to enterprise technology leader, working with major insurance companies, global technology firms and manufacturing groups. That mathematical background lets him approach a business problem with analytical precision.

BlackYack applies the same standard in Tunisia: systems that hold up in production, and products built for sectors where an approximation gets paid for.

Why we work this way

Most software projects that fail don't fail on the technology. They fail on vague scoping, a cutover that was too big, and nobody left to hold the system once it's in production. We built our method around those three failures.

That's why scoping is short and written down, the prototype runs on real data, the cutover happens in reversible slices, and on-call is part of the offer rather than a separate contract.

Our own products are the best test of that method. ERPOne models a full composite mill and Doctive a whole clinic: two domains where an approximation is paid for in ruined rolls or delayed care.

04How we work

Four stages, in this order.

The order is the point: each stage exists only to make the next one cheaper.

  1. 01

    Scoping

Two weeks at most. We write down what the system must do, and above all what it will not do. The document is yours even if we go no further together.

  2. 02

    Prototype

A version running on your real data, not a clickable mockup. If the idea doesn't hold, it falls here — the cheapest possible place to fall.

  3. 03

    Go-live

Delivered in slices, with data migration, team training and a reversible cutover. No blind big-bang weekend.

  4. 04

    Operations

On-call, observability, fixes and new work. The code, the data and the documentation are yours from the first day to the last.

05Three rules we don't negotiate

Three rules we don't negotiate

  • AI proposes, it doesn't decide

A system that recommends must show its reasoning and accept being overruled. When the governed data isn't there, it refuses rather than inventing.

  • The code and the data are yours

Repository, schema, documentation, runbooks: all delivered, all kept by you. No dependency on us that you didn't choose.

  • An unrestored backup doesn't exist

We test restores, not just backups. Same for cutovers: they're reversible or they don't happen.

A system to build, or an existing one to take over?

Two business days for a reply, two weeks for a written scope.
